We are seeking 6 dedicated Recycling Support Officers to engage directly with residents, initially ensuring a smooth transition to the new waste collection system.
In this role, you will:
- Work on-site in communities, providing face-to-face support and guidance on recycling practices.
- Educate residents on correct waste disposal to minimise contamination and improve recycling rates.
- Monitor and report on waste collection issues, identifying areas for improvement.
- Support the rollout of government-driven waste management changes, ensuring compliance with new regulations.
- Act as the first point of contact for waste-related enquiries, helping to resolve concerns and reduce complaints.

Essential Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Good standard of education to GCSE and A level equivalent, particularly in english and mathematics
- Experience in community engagement, waste management, or customer service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with residents.
- Ability to work outdoors in the community, visiting households and monitoring waste collection issues.
- Strong problem-solving skills to identify and address recycling challenges.
- A proactive and positive approach to behaviour change and public engagement.
