The Business Support Officer role provides support for the Strategy and Business Management function of Joint Waste Solutions (JWS). This organisation delivers recycling improvement work on behalf of Surrey’s councils and manages a £13.5m waste and street cleaning collection contract on behalf of four partners.

You will help ensure the smooth running of the organisation, with a particular emphasis on office facilities, purchasing support for goods and services, administration of contracts, and the management of systems and procedures.

You will work closely with staff and partners to support the delivery of a broad range of work.  This includes organising and supporting meetings and events, co-ordinating requests for information and undertaking research, recording and reporting findings.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in an office environment, providing administrative/business support. You’ll need good IT skills, a methodical approach to your work, attention to detail and the ability to develop good working relationships with colleagues.
