Storm Environmental has firmly established itself as the leading supplier to local authorities and the private sector of four-wheeled waste and recycling containers. As well as standard containers for the collection of both waste and recycling fractions, our innovation in design such as reverse recycling lids – which help eliminate contamination of dry mixed recycling containers – are helping to encourage communities to make recycling part of their everyday life.
With over two million steel bodied containers in the UK, some giving over 25 years of service, Storm has now launched a repair and refurbishment facility named StormPlus. Returning redundant containers to reuse is a good example of the benefits of a circular economy, and Storm’s expertise in manufacturing new containers and its large logistics fleet ensure out-of-service containers are quickly returned to work in a good-as-new condition.
The aesthetic appearance of recycling and waste collection products allied to good functionality is extremely important, and Storm has recognised this with the establishment of an in-house design and development studio. The company’s new food waste collection cabinets, which house a two-wheeled bin for the collection of domestic food waste, are a result of this design led approach. Proving to be very popular, they are manufactured in powder-coated galvanized steel, providing long term strength and excellent resistance to vandalism and fire.
Our UK-wide account managers are also pleased to demonstrate other new Storm products, such as the 400 litre four-wheeled food waste collection container, four-wheeled bin housings for the collection of domestic waste and recycling fractions, and the four-way entry litter and recycling collection container designed specifically for city centres with large footfall.
