New features:
Join us on Thursday 2 July to explore the latest LA Portal enhancements, including new Household Waste Recycling Centre (HWRC) data and bulky waste collection information, giving greater visibility of waste and recycling services across the country.
We will also introduce our new ‘Call to Action’ feature and give you a sneak peek at what is coming next - including Bring Bank data. This online demonstration and training session will walk you through the new features and how to make the most of them.
Bringing this wider service information into the LA Portal allows us to provide a more complete picture of council waste and recycling services in one place and with the direct link though to the Recycle Now Recycling Locator, citizens will have an additional way to find out about the reuse and recycling services offered by councils across the country.

Over to you to review and update
We are very aware that a lot of local authorities have made substantial service changes this past year with more to come, whether that be collecting additional materials for recycling, expanding services to flats or changing service profiles. You may not have considered what information is currently held within the LA Portal or the implications of not updating this information.
WRAP
We kindly ask that you review and update where necessary, the scheme information for your council so that it provides an accurate reflection of current services. As already mentioned, the information from the LA Portal feeds through to the Recycling Locator which is used by citizens looking for information on how and where they can reuse, recycle or dispose of particular items.
In addition, the scheme and performance values are a key reference point in the development of funding calculations for local authorities across England. Ensuring the collection scheme data is correct in terms of household numbers and services provided is essential to ensure that the current collection configurations are accurately reflected in the data and subsequent payments. The LA Portal can be reviewed and updated at any point during the year, and we encourage you to review and update regularly.
A step-by-step guide for updating the LA Portal can be found here: WRAP LA Portal | WRAP - The Waste and Resources Action Programme
