A campaign to tackle the growing problem of battery-related fires at recycling and waste management facilities has recently re-launched and local authorities are invited to participate.
The Take Charge campaign, which was created by the Environmental Services Association, relaunched in October 2022 and includes a range of campaign assets to download for free.
The first set of assets were released on 19th October and were Halloween-themed. These will be available to use and share on social media up to the 6th November. From the 7th November the Halloween content will be replaced with a generic Supporter Toolkit of assets for use in perpetuity. This will include social media content, posters, stickers, bin hangers and more.
The campaign is also “open source” so supporter organisations are able to adapt and amend all campaign assets as they see fit – for example by including their own logos or adapting the messaging to reflect local circumstances.
The Supporter Toolkit is available to download for free from the campaign website at www.takecharge.org.uk and it contains a comprehensive Supporter Guide which should be read before participating.
If you have any difficulty downloading the Supporter Toolkit or have any questions about the campaign, please contact Ben Johnson by email to b-johnson@esauk.org
