RWM 2018 has come and gone, and what a two days it was! The UK’s largest recycling and waste management expo descended onto the NEC in birmingham for twos days of exceptional business and knowledge sharing, as world class exhibitors and pioneering professionals both displayed the latest and greatest in technology, services and products as well as leading deeply interesting seminars to packed out theatres across the event. 22,000 professionals filled the halls across all the events, with 12,500 recycling and waste professionals there specifically for RWM, the best visitor turn out it has had in years!

The first thing that was immediately noticeable when arriving at RWM was the queues to get in, they were enormous and was the first bit of proof as to how vital the industry is currently. With the amazing turnout giving the event a real buzz, it only took a brief walk around before stands from the likes of CIWM, Fireward, JCB, Mercedes Benz, Addex, Bunting Magnets, Bradshaw and ePower Electric Vehicles started to appear showing off their amazing products that were all work ready. Taking a quick walk outside to the demos area would see visitors greeted with huge pieces of equipment from the likes of Molson Green and Fogmaker as they wowed delegates with live demos of their latest products.

If you don’t believe what we have to say about the event, our exhibitors were the ones shouting the loudest:

‘Fantastic, really good couple of days, really good footfall. A lot of key customers have come to the stand, we’re confirming to our customers that we are a reliable form of fire suppression.’ Fireward

‘What a day at the RWM Exhibition... the Molson stand has been busy all day, deals done and some more big news set to be announced tomorrow. Thank you to everyone who visited our stand and we are looking for another busy day tomorrow ‘ MOLSON GROUP

With an amazing rebook rate thanks to such a successful show, there is now more momentum than ever following RWM into 2019. As such, the addition of Wastech, a conference entirely dedicated to AI and Robotics in the recycling and waste industry, will be a key part of next years show. Highlighting the amazing advancements being made, this will be the place for visitors to learn about the application and benefits of AI and robotics in their operation.

As well as this, the Zero Emissions Zone will bridge RWM and Future Resource better than ever before and also provide a dedicated hub for all zero emissions products.
