The Office hasn't seen much of Lee this week, but that's because he's been zooming around all over the country attending meetings on our Members' behalf. All that, with a bad back as well!
On Monday he was at the NEC considering the first draft of the WRAP Food Waste Recycling Action Plan - whose chief aim is to increase the amount of food waste recycled. The plan has 18 actions covering 7 themes, including communications and household collections but also focusing on commecial collections and treatment as well.
On Tuesday, he was meeting with our Chair's group: Andrew Bird (Chair) and Vice-Chairs Sally Talbot and Durk Reyner, preparing for our quarterly Exec meeting in April which, among other things will be looking at our new Marketing and Engagement strategy which will be in place to help us meet our current Business Plan.
On Wednesday, he was down in London attending the DEFRA BIS Extended Producer Responsibility Workshop - a consultation exerciese to which LARAC was invited on your behalf to give the LA view on ERP in the EU Circular Economy package.
He hasn't been allowed to rest on his return - he's produced two reports from Monday and Wednesday's meetings - it is worth logging into the Members' area and taking a look.
