Have you thought about talking to your residents about how you can help support them during the cost-of-living crisis?
Love Food Hate Waste has developed a new toolkit to help local authorities support their residents with messaging around how to make their food go further, helping to save time and money.
With a range of new static assets and videos ready for you to share, we’ve made this easy for you. Simply download our toolkit and start using the assets in your communications. There’s also a section on myth busting – ready to use social media posts which you can simply schedule into your calendar over the next few months.

Food Waste Action Week
Building on this approach of making the food we already have go further, we are deep into the development of our Food Waste Action Week hero campaign. This will run from 6th – 12th March with the theme, ‘Win. Don’t Bin’.
The campaign activity will primarily run across on social media with a range of 4 static assets being available for you to use on your social channels too. There’s an option to add your logo to these if you’d like to tailor them. In addition to this, there will be a poster and pull up banner template for you to use if you’re planning to do any in person activity with citizens.
We will also be releasing a 30 second hero film at the start of the week and doing lots of PR to try to generate media coverage, using a high-profile campaign ambassador. This will be complemented with a range of influencer content too; modelling the behaviours we are trying to change. A template press release will also be available for you to use to generate some local press coverage.
If you’d like to learn more about Food Waste Action Week, the insights behind the development of the campaign, how you can make the most of the assets available and how you can get involved, join our webinar. We’ll be running through all the assets and our plans for FWAW on Thursday 19 January 2023 @ 10:00-11:00.
In addition to this, Recycle Now will also be taking the opportunity to present last year’s impressive Recycle Week results at the end of the session.
