It's barely two weeks since Andrew Bird took over as LARAC Chair and to say he's hit the ground running would be an understatement.

Dealing with enquiries from the One Show, attending the Kit Strange Memorial Lecture and meeting our major supporters and chairing yesterday's quarterly LARAC Exec meeting are just a few of the ways he's been representing the organisation.  And next week on the 28th January Andrew will be taking David Greenfield's place at the the LRS TEEP event: Recycling services: Avoiding exposure and turning TEEP to your advantage which is taking place in Manchester.  This is a free industry event  designed to engage professionals in the resource efficiency debate, and will address the threats and opportunities implicit in the ‘TEEP’ requirements and provide you with an understanding of what you could do to avoid exposure with your recycling services and meet government guidance and ‘TEEP’ tests.  So if you can make it, it would be a good one to get to and you might even catch a glimpse of our LARAC Chair - taking the opportunity to present the local authority recycling officers' side of things.
