Sharpen your pencils/fire up your laptop/recharge your tablet - do whatever it takes to apply for a free place at this year's LARAC Conference and Awards in Nottingham in October.
As part of the LARAC Scholarship, financed by REPIC, you will earn a free place at the conference and awards, a free session of special workshops, two nights' accommodation and your travel expenses.
To apply you need to have worked in recycling/waste role for less than seven years at a local authority, because this programme is designed to enhance the work experience of the newest of our workers.
Login to the members' area using your authority's membership number and password and check out the qualifying criteria and how to apply. Be sure to read the diaries and one year updates from previous winners to get a flavour of the valuable experience you will get from winning.
There will be eighteen places - at least one from each of the English regions and one each from the devolved governments. So no matter where you are in the country you have an equal chance of winning. You will experience the country's top speakers on all things resources, recycling and waste, you will take part in interactive workshops, network closely with colleagues and industry leaders, and attend the awards to celebrate the best in the industry.
