It’s that wonderful time of year again when LARAC gets to really give something back to its members in a big and obvious way. We never have more pleasure than when we are able to welcome our members’ newer employees to our National Conference in October – completely free of charge, via our scholarship scheme.
Of course we wouldn’t be able to do it at all without our fantastic sponsors: REPIC; who not only foot the bill for the scholars to attend the whole conference and awards ceremony and stay at the main conference hotel, but partake in the pre-conference seminars we organise for the scholars and extend the scholar experience through the year – oh, and yes, they also pay for travel expenses to and from the conference.
This year, as usual, the applications exceeded the 18 places we had to give away so we had the task of judging the applicants and unfortunately rejecting a few. For those who didn’t win a place – as long as you fit the criteria, we do invite you to apply again next year – not winning this year, doesn’t preclude you from entering again.
So, the happy list is below – invitations to apply were extended to the whole of the UK and the winners reflect all regions and countries who supplied applications.
