VIP Bin Cleaning announces first-ever large automatic wash line
VIP Bin Cleaning has announced the design, manufacture and installation of its first-ever large in situ automatic bin cleaning wash line. The company are continuing to develop its products and services in response to an ever-changing marketplace.
The wash line was ordered by environmental solutions provider, BPR Group for its Purfleet premises, with VIP winning the contract thanks to its standard of work and wide range of products. The company is a multi-award-winning designer and manufacturer of bespoke vehicle-based bin cleaning machinery which operates successfully across the UK and in eight other countries worldwide.
VIP Bin Cleaning managing director, Mark Harvey, said: “It was a bold decision by BPR to award this contract to VIP Bin Cleaning and I’d like to thank the Group for having the confidence in us to deliver this bespoke wash line to their exact specifications and requirements.
“As an innovative, forward-thinking and service-oriented business, BPR Group has now become one of the first companies in its sector in the UK to have one of these machines installed. BPR had looked at various other companies in Europe but in the end decided to back British manufacturing.
“The contract includes ongoing service and support, which is exactly how we like to work with our clients, and we look forward to a productive and strong partnership with the Group.”
The remit required a high quality, environmentally-friendly wash line that was more efficient than BPR’s previous system. The wash line was designed by VIP in conjunction with manufacturers Hugh Cranes and BPR.
Bill Swan, Managing Director, BPR Group commented
“We are delighted with our new wash line, which will enable us to improve our services by providing the best quality in bin cleanliness for our customers, whilst improving the efficiency of the bin cleaning process”
The main attributes of the wash line include:
* Designed to clean up to 500 x 240ltr/360ltr bins, externally and internally, each working day
* Complete automation (utilising conveyor loading systems and computer controlled jet washing systems)
* Water is heated via gas oil fired boilers
* All water used is filtered and recycled throughout the process
* The machine is built and manufactured using a galvanised skeleton and aluminium panelling
* Pneumatic air controlled rams for the loading of the bins
* Conveyor rinse heads to keep conveyor clear of debris
* Automatic bin unloading system
* 100ltr per minute/200 bar bin cleaning washing system
* Safety features such as automatic trip switches, laser trip switches and manual override systems including safety barriers
VIP Bin Cleaning operates through some 40 operations domestically, and the link-up with BPR is also proving prosperous for them. The strength of the companies’ relationship has seen BPR award an ongoing four-weekly mobile bin cleaning contract at one of its blue-chip sites near London which is being serviced by VIP’s local franchisee. Further work is expected to follow.
Thanks to its burgeoning network, VIP Bin Cleaning are now able to offer all clients the full package of bin cleaning services including national, regional and local coverage for any type and size of waste container as well as bespoke bin cleaning machinery, both static and mobile.
