It is the 8th year and the standard just keeps getting higher! We all know the judges have a hard job - we say it every year - but don't let's feel too sorry for them because, in fact they are privileged; they get the chance to really scrutinise in detail the ingenuity that our members come up with in their jobs everyday - all to get us to recycle more and produce less waste.
Speaking for the judging panel, our CEO Lee Marshall said, ““Yet again the judging panel was hugely impressed by the innovative ideas and hard work that recycling officers continue to demonstrate on a daily basis – despite some tough challenges throughout the year. We had ... really positive entries, many of which show the vital job that council officers are doing up and down the country to provide good quality services and raise awareness of recycling to the general public.”
They were a truly great bunch of applications showing just how creative our industry is. So we take the opportunity here to applaud you all, and to thank you for applying. If you are not on the finalist's list but would like to blog about the work you are doing then just get in touch at admin@larac.org.uk and we'll get your word out there on our website.
