A call for evidence has been issued by DEFRA, in advance of Government publishing its first Waste Prevention Programme for England by December 2013.
DEFRA state that Waste Prevention is a priority for them, and will aim to support growth and help householders, local councils and businesses save money.
The programme takes forward a commitment in the Government Review of Waste Policy in England 2011, as well as fulfilling a requirement of the Waste Framework Directive (2008/98/EC)
The call for evidence opens for responses from today, 11th March 2013 and will close on 29th April 2013. The Policy team will be formulating a response and as ever welcomes the views of members.
