WRAP Webinar - Designing EPR schemes for textiles

This webinar seeks to support the policymakers, governments, and PROs (Producer Responsibility Organisations) that are responsible for designing and implementing the EPR schemes. Specifically, the webinar will:

• Provide an overview of the EU Circular Economy Omnibus and the revised EU Waste Framework Directive.
• Summarise how EPR schemes for textiles must be designed and operated to comply with the requirements of the overarching EU Directive, including elements of the EPR schemes that must be harmonised across EU countries.
• Summarise core principles and key elements relevant to EPR scheme design, both at the pre-legislation design phase and at the post-legislation implementation phase.
• Provide the perspective of brands and how those perspectives could/should EPR scheme design.
• Highlight international best practices and learnings for adopting impactful EPR schemes. 

The webinar will be delivered as a collaborative effort by the global environmental action NGO, WRAP, and Policy Hub, the circularity for apparel & footwear initiative that drives significant change to shape ambitious and implementable European policies which reflect the complexity of the textile sector.
