The Collection Conference 2026
Thursday 19 November 2026 | NAEC Stoneleigh, Kenilworth CV8 2LZ
The Collection Conference returns in 2026, bringing together local authorities, waste contractors, policy teams and technology providers for a focused, one day programme on the future of municipal waste and recycling collections. With Simpler Recycling now in force, EPR payments landing in real budgets and digital waste tracking moving from pilot to standard practice, the conference provides practical guidance and sector wide insight at a pivotal moment for collection services.
The day will cover:
- Policy and regulatory updates, including Simpler Recycling and EPR/RAM expectations
- Digital waste tracking, moving from pilot into day-to-day operations
- Hot topics including vapes and fire risk on collection rounds, DRS impacts, and flexible plastics
- Strategic challenges including business collections and fleet electrification
- Case studies covering EEE collections and producer responsibility schemes
Alongside the sessions, this year's event includes a dedicated static vehicle area, giving attendees the chance to see the latest collection vehicles and equipment up close.
Who should attend:
Local authority waste officers, contractor operations and strategy leads, procurement and policy teams, and collection technology and fleet suppliers.
