The Technical Advisor will work as a member of WRAP Cymru’s Collaborative Change Programme team to support local authorities in Wales to improve their waste and recycling services. The role will involve working with our Materials Marketing & Compliance Advisor to support local authorities with the marketing of materials collected for recycling, environmental permitting, environmental management and regulatory compliance at waste facilities
We are looking for a highly motivated person who can show direct experience of the Environmental Permitting Regulations and has the technical knowledge to be able advise on the type of permit required and completing associated documentation to submit permit applications. They must be a confident communicator both written and in person and willing to travel frequently within Wales. Practical knowledge of markets for materials collected for recycling would be an advantage.
