The council’s Street Scene service plays a key role in delivering services that affect all of our residents, businesses and visitors. This role involves providing project support to improve and enhance our frontline services, which include recycling & waste, street cleansing, grounds maintenance, and transport services. The successful candidate will plan projects to support service changes and help to monitor their impact, while ensuring our residents and customers are engaged and communicated with effectively. Experience in managing and delivering projects is essential, and knowledge of environmental services will be an advantage.

About the role
The Service Change Team supports the Street Scene service in improving and delivering high quality services to our residents, businesses and internal partners.

This may include;

  • To plan projects to implement service change across Street Scene
  • To monitor and evaluate the implementation of projects
  • To act as change agents across the Service – championing change
  • To communicate change with residents and staff face to face, via email, telephone, communication campaigns and social media
  • To keep up to date with new thinking and ideas
  • To engage with customers to improve services
