Are you passionate about helping people to recycle more and waste less?
Are you experienced in managing projects which support sustainable resource use and looking for your next challenge?
Keep Britain Tidy is an independent charity with three goals – to eliminate litter, end waste and improve places. We are looking for an outstanding Senior Project Manager to join our Waste Insights team and play a pivotal role in our work to end waste. The Waste Insights team works with local authorities, waste companies, housing providers and schools to help people reduce waste and increase recycling. We do this through community engagement campaigns, education in schools, marketing communications, consultancy work, staff provision and training. We also monitor and evaluate the impact of waste and recycling schemes and initiatives. See our website for more about what we do.
Our portfolio of projects is extremely varied and our work is fast paced. In the past year alone we have delivered campaigns to increase recycling and reduce waste using face-to-face engagement with people at the doorstep and at public events, designed a recycling communications campaign, carried out surveys of waste and recycling behaviour and infrastructure, trained crews and caretakers to support better recycling, and delivered waste composition audits. We are increasingly working with Keep Britain Tidy’s award-winning Centre for Social Innovation to ground our work in local research and behavioural insights. Much of our work is in London and the South East but we also work across England.
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be capable of managing multiple, complicated projects to the highest standard, on time and within budget, and supporting two Project Managers to deliver to the same standards. You will also be confident to lead on bidding processes for new work. You will be based in central London, but with regular regional travel.
As part of our investment in staff the successful candidate will be supported to work towards CIWM Chartered Waste Manager status. There is also potential for the role to develop quickly, with the successful candidate taking on greater responsibility within the Waste Insights team.
To apply, please download a job description before completing an application form and equal opportunities monitoring form and returning to firstname.lastname@example.org before the closing date.
Candidates are warmly encouraged to call to discuss their interest and ask questions.
