The Senior Operations Advisor will work as a member of WRAP Cymru’s Collaborative Change Programme team to support local authorities in Wales to improve their waste and recycling services. They will work with the CCP Operations Manager to oversee and deliver a programme of projects to advise and support local authorities to achieve strategic and service objectives improving recycling and reducing waste. They will provide specialist advice and support on operational matters and on the implementation of new services and service changes.
The successful applicant will have significant operational management/supervisor experience in planning and delivering waste collections, recycling services, depot management and HWRC provision. They will have experience of implementing significant service changes and mobilising new contracts or services. A good knowledge of the range of collection, recycling and sorting systems in operation and the relevant policy and legislative context will be required.
This position will involve working with local authorities undertaking service change/ improvement which will necessitate spending time away from home.
