Do you have experience in project management and an interest in tackling environmental issues?
This role will be responsible for undertaking projects for Joint Waste Solutions, the team that delivers recycling improvement work on behalf of a partnership that includes all of Surrey’s councils and manages a £13.5m waste and street cleaning collection contract on behalf of four partners.
You will help to identify areas where efficiencies and improvements can be made to our systems and processes and delivering projects that address these. You’ll also be involved in evaluating the success of initiatives and working with colleagues within Joint Waste Solutions and across the wider partnership to identify opportunities for further improvements.
The successful candidate will have experience of using an evidence based approach for project development, as well as experience of project management and delivery. You’ll also need to demonstrate experience of effective partnership working, being able to analyse performance data to make recommendations, and the ability to work flexibly and under your own initiative.

The role is based at the main office located in Woking, with the ability to work from home (as required from a business perspective) during COVID-19.
