Parks and Streetscene Services are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed supervisor to work with the Operations Manager, you will take day to day operational control of the street cleansing team and provide support to the Parks operations when required.
As the successful candidate you will part of a small team of officers supervising our Streetscene teams which will include responsibility for staff, vehicles and equipment. You will be responsible for customer liaison and the day to day supervision of resources engaged on all Streetscene operations including street cleansing and the removal of flytipping, flyposting and graffiti. You will also be working in close partnership with the Waste Enforcement team to push forward a co-ordinated approach to tackling environmental crime.
You must have recent supervisory experience, be committed and able to provide first class customer focussed services. You will be involved in all aspects of people management including recruitment, performance and attendance management and any conduct issues as they arise.
Dynamic, self-motivated, with good IT skills and communication skills, you must demonstrate a creative and innovative approach to service management.
You will need to hold a current driving licence and will be expected to participate in weekend overtime rotas and work Bank/Public Holidays as required.
Ultimately, your aim will be to make a significant, positive impact on the environmental cleanliness of Preston by taking an innovative and creative approach to Streetscene service delivery.
