Oxfordshire Resources and Waste Partnership represents both the Waste Disposal Authority and the Waste Collection Authorities in Oxfordshire, including Oxford City Council, four District Councils and Oxfordshire County Council.
The local authorities that form the Oxfordshire Resources and Waste Partnership are diverse, yet we have shared and clear goals in our shared Oxfordshire Resources and Waste Strategy. This sets out how the Councils will work together to deliver sustainable waste management services until 2023.
About the role
You will be employed through Oxfordshire County Council but are expected to regularly and visibly work with all partners. You will have considerable opportunity to work across the county, regionally and nationally.
The post is currently offered on a fixed-term until December 2023 to run alongside the Oxfordshire Joint Municipal Waste Management Strategy, with opportunities to review and an aspiration for the role to become permanent once we have a clear roadmap in place, demonstrating value for money and continuing cost savings.
This role can offer flexibility in working pattern and location to suit applicants. We welcome applications from diverse backgrounds.

We need a senior professional to work with us to understand the bigger picture and deliver clear outcomes. You should be a demonstrably good communicator, with influencing and negotiating skills. Naturally, you will need to be able to demonstrate good organisational skills, management of budgets and resource.
