The recycling and waste department is a fast paced, forward thinking and customer focused team of people. The variety of work undertaken within department means that no two days are the same, often challenging but always rewarding.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Operations Team. We are looking for two talented, energised and enthusiastic team players that have experience of working in a fast moving logistical environment.
You will be part of a team of 7 overseeing the logistical management of more than 118 operational staff; you will need to be able to think on your feet and be a natural problem solver, with the tenacity to see a problem through to solution. You will have excellent communication skills to ensure that you can get the best from your large team and work together to achieve positive outcomes.
You will also have comprehensive people management skills, with a naturally personable and persuasive style that brings out the best in others.
With one eye on delivering an efficient logistical operation and the other on ensuring your crews perform well, you will be working in an exciting customer focused service delivery sector of the Council. The successful candidates will be assertive, approachable and committed to delivering a great service to our residents and customers.
