This is an exciting time to work for Staffordshire Moorlands District Council and High Peak Borough Council (The Alliance) as we have a passion for making our local areas cleaner places to live, work or visit.
The successful candidate will work with the Head of Service Commissioning to deliver service improvements aiming to increase customer satisfaction or performance, to meet changing demands and to maximise economy and efficiency in methods of working.
You should have extensive knowledge of waste, street cleaning and recycling services including the legal and statutory obligations a local authority has relating to such.
Practical experience of waste and street scene services delivered to the public and delivering improvements in recycling and waste collection is a must, alongside experience of Local Authority contracts including associated monitoring and reporting mechanisms.
The successful candidate will have experience in report writing, specification preparation and the development of policies, strategies, service or management plans relating to waste and street cleansing functions as well as experience of delivering continuously improved services that have the customer at the heart of all activities being provided.
You will be required to represent the Alliance and department at meetings with service users, other council departments, local authority partners, consultants, contractors and other working groups.
