If you were unable to join the recent webinar on Calculating the Impact of Resources and Waste Policy Change with RAWPIC we just wanted to let you know that the recording from this webinar is now available via the Anthesis website, and the slide deck with responses to all questions will be uploaded shortly.
We mentioned in the webinar we would be very grateful if you could share the outcomes of your RAWPIC calculations with LARAC once you have completed them. Please email screenshots of the table in Section 13.5 in the outputs tab to admin@larac.org.uk by the end of January showing two sets of data, one for “all in” DRS and one for” one the go”. Feel free to include any commentary and calculations you have made in relation to operational implications or other impacts. Receiving this information will help LARAC to prepare its response to the next round of consultations on Deposit Return Schemes and Extended Producer Responsibility, which are expected in early 2020.
In the webinar we briefly mentioned the DNAs that have been developed by Suez to reflect the unique recycling and waste characteristics of each local authority. If you would like to hear more about this Suez has a webinar recording available on Improving recycling rates: is it in your DNA?’ .
You may also be interested in reading LARAC’s responses to the initial consultations on the introduction of a Deposit Return Scheme and reform of Extended Producer Responsibility, which closed in May 2019.
Please feel free to share the details of this webinar with any of your colleagues or contacts.
