Lessons from Lockdown for waste and recycling services

LWARB is pleased to announce the release of their ‘London Learnings’ report, looking at how London local authority waste services responded during the March 2020 COVID-19 lockdown.

This timely report shares learnings from the measures introduced by London waste authorities during this years earlier lockdown to protect waste and recycling services and makes recommendations to strengthen London’s resilience. Although London is the focus of this research, it will be of interest to local authorities elsewhere (particularly those in urban areas), regional and national government, as well as the wider waste industry.

The London Learnings report is one of a set of documents (research and guidance) developed by LWARB to help London local authorities respond to the pandemic, including recently published ‘Assessment of the future impact of COVID-19 on commercial waste in London’. The full set of resources are available here.

To hear about both these reports please join us for the Adapting waste services to COVID-19 webinar on Wednesday 11th November 14:00 – 15:00. Click here to register for the webinar.
