On the road to zero ‘avoidable’ waste by 2050
With major proposals on the table to change the way materials and products are designed and managed throughout their full life cycle, this year’s Resourcing the Future conference will provide an unprecedented opportunity for delegates to discuss and shape the future.
Bringing together professionals from across the product and resource management supply chains, from design to end-of-life, the event will explore the latest developments in policy and practice, and how these can contribute to the Government’s ambition to achieve zero ‘avoidable’ waste by 2050
Day One will debate the headline measures being proposed to change our consumption and disposal behaviours, looking at the concept of Extended Producer Responsibility in the round, its implications for packaging, and a spotlight on the food waste challenge.
Day Two will explore how the UK’s resource management infrastructure – collection, treatment and digital – need to evolve to support higher levels of ambition and contribute to healthy, stable and environmentally sounds end markets for recovered products and materials.
