The Waste Management Team are responsible for overseeing the waste contract, which includes services such as household rubbish and recycling collections, street cleansing and related enforcement activities. Working as an integral part of the Operations team the successful candidate will be responsible for responding to, and managing, waste related issues within a designated area of West Berkshire.
We require candidates who have:
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- good problem solving skills
- the ability to work on their own and manage their own work load
Candidates should hold GCSE level C or above in Maths and English and possess an environmental related qualification. However candidates who can demonstrate a sound understanding of the principle issues relating to waste management will also be considered.
The successful candidate will be provided with a mobile device, laptop and have access to a fleet vehicle for business purposes.

Applicants must be 21 years old or over and hold a current full driving licence and have a minimum of one year’s driving experience for fleet insurance purposes.
This role has been identified as public facing in accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2017; the requirement to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence in English applies.
