We are looking for a confident and experienced Waste Contract Manager to work within the Joint Waste Team on a part time basis. We provide a waste service to the residents of Chiltern, Wycombe and South Bucks District Councils and manage two waste contracts.
Our current Waste Contract Manager for the South Bucks service will be working for three days a week and we are looking for an experienced Contract Manager to fill the remaining two days a week – days to be agreed. While this post will primarily cover the SBDC contract, it will also provide cover for the Waste Contract Manager for the Chiltern and Wycombe Service, in order to provide resilience to the busy team. This post will primarily be based at the South Bucks offices at Capswood, but mobile working will require flexibility and an occasional presence at the Chiltern District offices at Amersham.
As Waste Contract Manager, you will ensure the effective management of the South Bucks contract in line with relevant legislation, regulations and the policies and priorities of the Councils. You will need to work effectively and collaboratively with your part-time colleague and good communication skills will be essential, as you deal with a weekly handover of issues.
