Crawley Borough Council

An exciting new opportunity has arisen to assist in the design and delivery of a range of projects to increase the Councils’ recycling performance and reduce contamination.

The job will include rolling out our flats recycling project, working with managing agents, the councils’ waste and recycling contractor and a team of door steppers.  It will also include analysing performance data in order to prioritise and target specific areas of the borough to carry out projects and to measure the effectiveness of these initiatives.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and organised person who can lead the way in managing these and other projects to a high standard.  The successful candidate will have significant experience in waste management or a related environmental area, including experience of planning and delivering waste and recycling or similar projects.

A full current driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle is essential.

In exchange for your expertise, experience and enthusiasm, we will provide you with flexible working conditions in a friendly environment, an excellent annual leave entitlement and membership of the Local Authority Pension Scheme (LGPS).  You will also have access to a childcare voucher salary sacrifice scheme and voluntary benefits scheme providing discounts to hundreds of retailers.
