Bristol Waste Company is responsible for the delivery of Waste Collections, Recycling, Street Cleansing Services and Household Waste Recycling Centres for the people of Bristol. We are an enthusiastic, forward-thinking company with an ambitious vision for the City. We are seeking to recruit a Service Manager to join our team based on Albert Road.
Duties will include: day to day operational management of the service, to drive and improve employee engagement and the safety culture within the organisation; that the strategic business objectives, are delivered, Setting and monitoring performance targets; to plan, monitor and control revenue budgets and put into place cost control mechanisms where necessary; to ensure compliance with current waste disposal/ handling/ transportation/ legislation, codes of practice and environmental regulations; etc.
It is essential to have 3 years managerial experience in the Waste or similar industry; a proven track record at as a manager driving forward service delivery and improvements in either a waste management or similar services; excellent communication skills, including presentation, negotiation and consultation skills etc.
