A temporary opportunity has arisen within Waste Management to cover the role of Recycling Officer while the current post holder covers another temporary post. You will report to the Waste Management Systems Support Manager.
Your role will entail communicating and educating waste and recycling initiatives to stakeholders within the city. This is an important role and an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated person who loves to communicate through all channels. Day-to-day you will be dealing with internal staff, contractors as well as designers and partners at Derbyshire County Council and Resource Recovery Solutions.
You will also manage a small team tasked with making our ‘Delivering Differently’ project an environmental and financial success. You will work with residents to bring about a measurable reduction in household waste arisings through minimisation and diversion.
The successful candidate will have experience of working in a customer focused environment and will be able to introduce and manage successful communication campaigns. You should be proactive and committed to helping improve how waste is managed in Derby. You should be independent and able to progress work under your own initiative.
This is a fixed term role until 12/01/2018 and would be suitable for a secondment or development opportunity.
