Your role in our journey
As head of service, you'll lead on making sure the council does everything asked of us by leading key services of the business unit. You will be instrumental in driving forward change in; our children’s and adult transport services; and our in-house fleet servicing department. You’ll will be part of the Business Unit Service Management Team, who together lead the largest business unit in the council.
What you’ll need
To join us, you’ll need a relevant Level 6 qualification, and to be eligible for membership of an appropriate professional body. An experienced individual, you’ll bring to the role an extensive track record of achievements and lessons learnt. Ideally you will have the experience of implementing change in these service areas. This should include dealing complex and contentious problems, and you’ll be capable of working at both strategic and tactical levels. You will have the ability to lead by example and have the ability to influence and motivate teams.
