North Norfolk is an attractive rural District with beautiful coastline, fantastic landscapes and big skies within easy reach of the fine City of Norwich.
Working as part of a small team, you will monitor the work of our contractors, ensuring the required performance is achieved, helping us to create a better, cleaner environment for North Norfolk. Each day in Environmental Services is different - a new query, service issue or work request that you will help resolve, so an ability to use your experience to make decisions is key.
You will be out on district for much of the time, dealing with a wide range of people, including members of the public, contractors, councillors and commercial customers. An ability to work unsupervised is a crucial skill for the successful candidate and your customer service skills must be professional and helpful even in the face of demanding and testing situations. You will be a confident communicator, providing information and advice to residents and community groups to help us improve our recycling performance through promotion and educational work.
If you want to be part of an enthusiastic and forward thinking team, with a varied and challenging workload - we would like to hear from you.
North Norfolk District Council is committed to equality and diversity in employment and encourages applications from all sections of the community.
We offer employees a friendly working environment, flexible working hours, a career average pension scheme and take pride in achieving Investors in People Gold standard.
Please note that we do not accept CV's unless accompanied by a fully completed application form. Please send all completed application forms to HR@north-norfolk.gov.uk
