South Cambridgeshire District and Cambridge City Councils have run a successful joint service operation since November 2016, with a single management and delivery team serving the two districts’ 116,000 homes from a single depot in Waterbeach. With a joint workforce, fleet and support functions, the fully integrated operation will deliver significant efficiencies, better customer service and commercial development opportunities for both councils.
Working from our modern Waterbeach depot, our 3 teams (Operations, Commercial, and Policy, Change and Innovation) work together to meet the needs of our customers and drive improvements in everything we do.

We are now recruiting for a Data Project Support Officer to work with the operations team to support the link between data sets and in-cab technology.
You would also be working with policy colleagues to support project work and innovation.
Data is key to all of our work, making our operations efficient, showing our performance, and guiding our efforts in project work. Maintaining our data sets is key to our efficiency and excellent customer service. We are looking for someone who will ensure they are kept up to date and accurate.
As Data Project Support Officer you are required to have good attention to detail and a confidence with IT systems. You will be keen to use data to support improvements, work closely with other teams and spot opportunities as they arise. You will help deliver training and support for other colleagues using data and software therefore you are required to an approachable and a confident communicator.
