We had a very successful meeting at Birchwood Park back on the 18th November.
We considered contamination in recycling collections from an industry point of view with a presentation from Peter Mansfield of the Resource Association followed by Risidual Waste Restriction options with David Taylor from the GMWDA.
As the morning progressed we had a presentation from LARAC Partner FCC on innovation in collections . 'Pay as you throw' was considered by Lee Marshall as he spoke about the referendum and its implications. A good lunch was followed by a consideration of the NW Manfesto - Looking Ahead for Brexit led by Jenny Watts from Watts Legal.
The day ended with lively discussion and given the success of the event we have agreed to make it an annual event.
